My Interest In Travelling

My visit to Jaiphu Lhakhang was an exquisite journey. I went there on Zhabdrung Kuchoe to offer some offerings. The day started of well as we all gathered at the bus stop at Mongar. We all wanted to make it an adventure so, we all took the long route which was from Kadam Goenpa. We walked for hours but we weren't even half way there. We even reached the point where we could touch the clouds. After some time it started to rain so we couldn't continue our adventurous journey to Jaiphu Lhakhang. we all took shelter under the dark thick trees. When the rain finally stopped we continued hiking up the mountain. When we were half way there we jumped with excitement but, someone noticed a leech hanging from my leg. I was wearing our national dress Gho and short socks. My friend helped remove the leech and I was bleeding continuously, it didn't hurt but it was getting all my clothes dirty and suddenly it started raining again. The rain was making the bleeding all worse but we chose to ignore the rain and continue our hike up the mountain. We finally reached our main destination and celebrated our achievement. We then lit butter lamps, offered our offerings and prayed. We were all hungry so we all sat down making a circular shape and enjoyed the feasts prepared by our beloved parents. On our way back home we took the shortcut and avoided the long route as we were feeling exhausted and lazy. We carefully went down the steep slopes and some of us actually slipped and fell to the ground as the rain was making it more harder to hike down the mountain by making the way slippery. At the end when we all reached home safely we couldn't stop chatting about the interesting and excited moments during the journey. Lastly, we were glad to have go on such an adventurous journey and have fun like never before. As someone rightly stated, "It is not the results that are important but, the process is the one that matters most."

THANK YOU.
